Built to Give You Back
Control of Your Email
SendOrchard was founded by a small team of engineers and privacy advocates who got tired of trading their data for a free inbox.
We believe email should be private — by default.
Most email services make money by reading your emails and selling targeted advertising. We think that's wrong. When you send a personal message, a business proposal, or a medical query, that conversation should be yours alone.
SendOrchard was built on the conviction that privacy is not a premium feature — it's a fundamental right. That's why end-to-end encryption is on for every account, including free ones.
If email is free, your inbox is the product.
Conventional providers fund "free" email by scanning your messages and selling what they learn to advertisers. We rejected that trade entirely — and rebuilt email around three simple rules.
- You pay, so your data doesn't. A straightforward subscription funds the service — never advertising or data sales.
- Encryption is the default, not an upsell. Every mailbox is end-to-end encrypted, on free and paid plans alike.
- We can't hand over what we can't read. Zero-knowledge architecture keeps the keys with you, not us.
What we stand for
Three values guide every decision we make at SendOrchard.
Privacy
We believe your private communications deserve to stay private. Privacy isn't a checkbox — it's the reason we exist. Every feature is built with your privacy as the starting constraint, not an afterthought.
Transparency
We publish Transparency Reports, open-source our encryption libraries, and clearly explain what data we hold and why. If we ever receive a legal request, you'll know about it in our report.
Reliability
Email is critical infrastructure. We maintain 99.95% uptime SLAs, operate redundant EU data centres, and have a dedicated on-call team to resolve any incidents within minutes.

What happens when you send an email
Every message follows the same privacy-first path — automatically, with nothing for you to configure.
Encrypted on your device
Before your message ever leaves your screen, it's encrypted with your keys using OpenPGP. The plaintext never touches our servers.
Routed through EU servers
Your encrypted mail travels over TLS 1.3 between certified data centres inside the European Union — never outside, never logged in plaintext.
Read only by the recipient
Only your recipient's keys can unlock the message. Not advertisers, not us — even under a court order, we have nothing to hand over.
